Guwahati, Assam: Every year, Assam faces the harsh reality of floods. Yet, each year, the resilience of its people continues to shine through. This year, however, the situation has been particularly devastating across parts of Upper Assam, leaving behind loss that goes far beyond numbers: lives have been lost, homes and livelihoods have been destroyed, animals have been affected, and vast stretches of land have been submerged.
At a time when countless families are facing uncertainty and trying to rebuild what they have lost, support from every corner matters.
As a company deeply rooted in Assam and connected to its people for over seven decades, Annapurna Group believes that its relationship with the state goes beyond business. Assam and its people have been an integral part of the Group’s journey and growth. In difficult times such as these, standing with the community is simply a responsibility we feel deeply.
As part of this effort, Annapurna Group has contributed towards Assam flood relief, extending support to communities affected by the floods. While no contribution can undo the loss, we hope our effort provides support where it is needed most. The contribution was presented in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma, as the state continues to mobilise relief and support for affected communities. We have faith in the leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Minister and the administration’s continued efforts to reach people in need and support Assam through this difficult period.
For us, it is simply about doing our part and standing with our state when it needs us most.
